Quiet Light is the recording project of 23-year-old Texas-raised electronic folk artist, Riya Mahesh. Coming up in Austin’s band scene before relocating to Boston for medical school, Riya’s work is distinct and immersive. She melds the organic intimacy of folk with inventive, ambient sound collage production and undeniable pop songwriting, ending up somewhere in an intersection of Gillian Welch, Grouper, and Charli XCX over the course of 3 albums and numerous singles and EPs.
