Thomas Gorton and James Rand are God Colony, the London via Liverpool artists whose production styles move across industrial techno, hip-hop and R&B. Their early releases with Flohio were played regularly on Radio 1 and 6Music, and since then they’ve gone on to collaborate with artists such as Mykki Blanco, GAIKA, Kojey Radical, plus more. They have created a video series with NTS Radio, done a BBC Maida Vale session, and in 2020 released their debut mixtape CULT on their own label Crack Copies, through which they put out other artists such as legendary Manchester MC Strategy and the New Orleans rapper Mother Marygold. Their double A-side single “Daylight / U Really” came out in 2022, followed by the debut Flohio record that they executive produced. Another double A-side single is due in May 2023, followed by a slew of remixes commissioned by other artists and a feature film soundtrack that they produced. They’ve been featured in Hypebeast, Dazed, Mixmag and their work has been used to soundtrack campaigns for Gucci, adidas, Versace, amongst others. The God Colony live show is an hour long set made entirely of their own productions, edits and releases through their label.
