Omar+ is a next-generation electronic artist and DJ/producer, blending new-school RnB vocals with house and UKG influences. Hailing from just north of London, he draws inspiration from classic RnB icons like Brandy and SWV, as well as modern influences like PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake. His Punjabi and Gujarati heritage also plays a key role in shaping his music.
Omar’s deep connection to Mumbai, where he spent significant time growing up, shaped his late-night aesthetic and his understanding of rhythm, particularly through instruments like the tabla. This experience, along with observing the vibrant dance cultures at local festivals, informs the energetic and rhythmic nature of his music.
His journey as an artist solidified while attending university in London, where nights out at clubs like fabric and Phonox helped shape his vision. His collaboration with UKG maestro Silva Bumpa has resulted in a fresh and dynamic sound, drawing from a wide range of dance music influences including Chris Stussy, KETTAMA, Effy, Pinkpantheress, and Riovaz.
Omar’s music stands out by incorporating his own RnB vocals into electronic beats, filling a gap in the market. His early releases, such as “Lights,” “AfterParty” with GEE LEE, and “Pretty Girls,” have accumulated over 2M streams. His DIY house party series, Planet Plus, has also helped him build a dedicated fanbase in London.
In addition to music, Omar is a model, having featured in a JD Sports campaign and walked at London Fashion Week in 2023. With support from artists like Lancey Foux and Josh Baker, and new music coming in 2025, Omar+ is an artist to watch—ambitious, talented, and on the rise.
