MC AD

MC AD began to hone his craft back in 1994 over at one of London’s leading pirate radio stations, working alongside the likes of DJ Zinc, Loxy and MC Rage. AD was soon performing at legendary London venues such as Astoria, The Rocket Club and Club UN. With consistent encouragement from MC Rage, AD continued cutting his teeth on the D&B circuit, performing in & around the UK & Europe, which began to establish his name. In 1999, whilst hosting the Renegade Hardware show on Rinse FM, after a chance meeting with Clayton/Renegade Hardware, he offered AD the opportunity to perform alongside DJ Inkon a Renegade Hardware tour night, which led onto an MC residency at their nights in London. DJ Inkthen requested that AD join him on his forthcoming tour of Europe & the U.S. Whilst on that tour, DJ Hype was present at one of the US gigs and was truly impressed with AD’s hosting skills. Upon his return to the UK, Hype called AD asking him to join the rest of the residents at the legendary Playaz nights at Fabric, becoming his personal MC at the time. Following his big break, MC AD has gone on to host some of the biggest and finest events in the UK and around the world.

While working with Hype’s Playaz night AD was offered a residency at Fabric. Hospital Records have sought his talents for their huge Hospitality nights, as well hosting London Elektricity tours worldwide. He is now often found alongside some of the biggest DJ’s in Drum and Bass including Hype, Goldie, Calyx & Teebee, Roni Size, High Contrast, Danny Bryd, Pendulum and Chase & Status also representing some of the scene’s most revered record labels such as Ram, Shogun Audio, Metalheadz, Hardware and Critcial, as well as the aforementioned Playaz and Hospital. In addition to above also representing some of the most long-standing and prolific club nights in the UK such as Detonate, Metropolis & Runbut his talents have not gone unnoticed by other genres, moving into the world of Dubstep by hosting Sin City, Get & Darker & Basslaced and personal requests to MC for the Scratch Perverts.

With his ability to hype the crowd and compliment the DJ MC AD has also been asked to host at some of the biggest festivals both at home and abroad. Exit, Lovebox, Global Gathering, LED, Let It Roll, Outlook, Parklife and Hideout have all been knocking at his door, with such an impressive CV MC AD has now become recognized as one of the leading exponents of his craft.
