Joyfully and daringly playing with genre, singer- songwriter Olive Jones provides an accomplished fusion of soul, groove-led blues & jazz-folk. Formerly known as Kashu, Olive Jones is the solo moniker of Olivia Bhattacharjee.
An antithesis to her beat driven, synth drenched, electronic-soul project Noya Rao, here she explores songwriting from the heart through playful guitar riffs and honey-drenched vocals, creating an acoustic palette that soothes and scintillates.
Drawing inspiration from the jazz greats to contemporary artists such as Feist, Little Dragon and Nick Hakim, her music aims to speak with honesty and soul.
