Coming straight out the heart of Birmingham, the emerging wonder kid Tana, 22 is a hot talent firing out the city. Still breaking through but not at all new to shutting down shows and radio across the country. By way of his membership in the legendary former collective Invasion Crew, a membership he was handpicked for by the Birmingham giant Jaykae. With his recent single “Ride & Clutch” creating a wave of noise, you can see Tana forming a fresh sound to UK Drill as he adds his own spice of dancehall sound to the pot. It’s only right he embraces his Jamaican roots, Tana’s musical lineage runs deep, being the grandson of “Sir Coxsone Dodd” a founder of reggae and the legendary Studio One label, that spurred on dancehall system culture which became the foundations of Hip Hop & Grime. With musical royal blood running through his veins, 2020 is set to be a promising year for this artist, as he continues breaking through in the scene, as he says him self “he’s just getting started”.
