Detroit-born and Atlanta-based, Ash Lauryn is an international DJ, curator, and cultural voice pushing the Black American roots of house and techno forward. Her acclaimed platform, Underground & Black—which began as a blog and evolved into a beloved NTS Radio show and event series, has become a cornerstone for honest storytelling and celebration within the dance community.
Since her debut in 2016, Ash has toured the world with performances spanning London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Ibiza, New York, Tokyo, Milan, and Lisbon, earning respect for her deep, soulful selections and effortless connection to the dancefloor.
Ash Lauryn’s releases, including the North Atlantic EP with Jimpster and Oveous and the timeless anthem “Underground & Black” with Kai Alcé, blend Detroit house roots with soulful spoken word. In 2025, Ash expanded her vision with Mother May I, a family-centered day party and community gathering that brings parents and kids together through music and play, bridging generations while keeping the culture alive.
With authenticity and purpose at the heart of her work, Ash continues to inspire a new generation of dancers, dreamers, and creators to stay rooted in rhythm and truth.
