As yesterday was still tomorrow today, Fabian, Niklas and Max are building bridges to the past and the future with absolute open-mindedness. As das bisschen Totschlag, the trio from Hamburg and Berlin merge humour and pathos, human distance and mechanical warmth in their genre-binding and utterly contemporary and dreamy pop compositions. By exploring the boundaries of soft- and hardware, their arrangements highlight the fallibility of non-human objects, offering us characters to sympathise with. Oscillating between several media, the constant mix of endogen and electronic manipulates our perception about the fake and the real – and culminates into a feeling of disorientation. On a blurred trip into tomorrow, das bisschen Totschlag mixes Mephistophelian promises from Virtual Realities with the DIY ethos of various punk influences – and keep finding new ways to sound different from everyone else.
