Dub Athlete
Dub Athlete
Hailing from Brighton, UK, Dub Athlete steps up to the decks with energy and intention, diving into subterranean bass and driving rhythms to create expansive journeys for dancefloor meditation and release, blending dubstep with techno, broken beats, leftfield bass, electro and more. Delivered through a heavyweight sound system, the dancefloor becomes a crossroad, flooded with low-end frequencies to shift states of body, mind and being – creating space for transition, new connections and freedom.
Having honed her craft for over a decade, Dub Athlete’s selections and style have earned her recognition within the UK and abroad, with sets performed for brands including 1985 Music, Hvywght, Deep Medi, Undivided Events, The Blast, Outlook Festival, Subdub, Dubtopia, and Keep Hush. She also holds a residency at The Mine, Brighton’s longest-running dubstep and bass night. 2025 saw her debut at Fabric (London) and the Roundhouse (London), and in 2026 she left the UK, travelling to India, Australia and Aotearoa – New Zealand to play at festivals Dayshift and Shipwrecked, and local sound system crews.
Dub Athlete is committed to building community through dance music, with wellbeing and collective liberation at heart. She embodies raving as part of a healthy lifestyle and believes it’s integral to wider underground culture and political movements. Between 2019 – 2025 she organised and curated the Fortune Sessions, a free party platforming underground bass music and local DJs in her hometown. In 2025 she was also a key organiser of bass music events in London that raised awareness and funds for the charity MSF. She is an outspoken supporter of Palestinian liberation, an ally to the queer community, and an advocate of gender equality in bass music.
