Shaped by the rich musical history of his hometown, he has a deep knowledge of everything from jungle to broken beat, grime and garage, all of which he samples into his productions, creating a sound that feels familiar yet fresh, diverse yet distinctly IZCO. It’s a sound that has seen the artist gain recognition across the globe, playing everywhere from New York to Tokyo, as well as landing sets at We Out Here, Outlook and Glastonbury.
Having begun his journey making grime beats for local rappers such as Capo Lee, Novelist and Reek0, IZCO quickly transitioned into a burgeoning UKG scene, establishing himself as one of its key players at a young age. In 2018, he landed a show on Rinse FM (where he has remained since) and released his debut project Tek 5 that same year, a five-track ep that gained the artist significant underground acclaim.
Collaborating with PinkPantheress on her breakout track ‘Passion’ alongside fellow producer Jkarri, IZCO has since worked with some of the UK’s most exciting contemporary electronic artists. In 2025, he accompanied Nia Archives on tour across Asia and Australia, and has produced remixes for the likes of Katy B and Greentea Peng. But it is his work with the reggae icon Bob Andy that IZCO holds particularly dear, counting it as one of his most formative musical experiences.
Aside from his solo projects, IZCO is a label head, promoter and co-founder of the Brighter Days Family, a collective of DJs, MCs, singers and producers whose shared passion for music translates into a prolific, genre-bending output. With organic beginnings, the Brighter Days Family are carving out their own space in the music industry – one built on the values of community, craft and co-operation. “It’s what keeps me motivated,” IZCO says of the collective. “All these moments and memories aren’t the same without my people to share them with.”
Having recently signed with Brownswood Recordings, IZCO has released his debut solo ‘Powerscroft’ studio album in 2026, taking his soulful dancefloor sound to even greater heights. “This album is about channelling my true musical personality and character,” he says. “Named after my childhood road, I’m trying to mark the start of a new chapter by paying tribute to my foundations.”
