Jasper Tygner is a North London–born producer and live electronic artist whose sound blurs the line between club culture and cinematic ambience. He grew up raving in London’s electronic underground and cites the legendary Plastic People as a formative influence, along with a deep reverence for jungle, dubstep and garage. Those roots still run through everything he makes.
Grounded in UK electronica, trance and garage, Tygner’s music pairs emotional depth with rhythmic precision. During the 2020 lockdown he began an Instagram “bedroom rave” series, performing live across drum machines and analogue synths, giving viewers a first-hand look at his songwriting and production process and an early preview of how each track would translate live. The series quickly caught the attention of dance music heavyweights including Bicep, KiNK, Disclosure and DJ Seinfeld. In 2023 he released collaborations with DJ Boring, Pretty Girl and Art School Girlfriend.
Live performance sits at the heart of the project. Using an arsenal of keys, piano and analogue synthesisers, his immersive sets merge sound and visuals into a fluid, evolving experience. He taken this show to Glastonbury, Lightning In A Bottle, Warehouse Project, Portola and many more. He has also played sold-out headline shows at EartH Hackney, Fabric and Colour Factory, along with tours of North America and Australia/New Zealand. He’s equally comfortable DJing with key sets at Coachella, Fabric Room One, Badaboum Paris, Gonzo’s Two Room, Mode Festival (Aus) amongst many others.
On BBC Radio he has been supported by Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Sarah Story, Sian Eleri, Jaguar, The Blessed Madonna and Jack Saunders, and he has contributed guest mixes to Mixmag, Rinse FM and Balaami.
His debut album, Blue, is a defining release that captures the introspective energy and widescreen emotion of his sound. It establishes Tygner as one of the most distinctive voices in alternative electronic music. 2027 will see Jasper lean back into his club and DJ roots, with two brand new EPs scheduled.
