MJ Cole is a British composer, producer, and live performer whose work continues to
influence UK music from the soulful depths of garage to expansive contemporary and
classical-inflected projects. Known for a rare blend of musicality, innovation, and
emotional intelligence, his output exists in constant motion, refusing to be fixed to any
single era or genre.

Over the past two decades, MJ Cole has expanded far beyond his early UK Garage roots.
In his productions and remixes he has worked with world-class artists like Stormzy,
Dizzee Rascal, and Jorja Smith to Mary J. Blige and Sammy Virji – showcasing
his ability to blend soulful musicality with contemporary sounds. In 2020 he released a
deeply personal orchestral-leaning project, MJ Cole presents Madrugada on the
Decca label, drawing on his classical upbringing and proving his versatility as a
composer and producer.
Most recently, MJ Cole composed the original score for the documentary The Disciple,
which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, further demonstrating his reach beyond
the dancefloor and developing his talent for cinematic storytelling. Alongside this he
continues to develop new music through his imprint 892 Recordings, supporting
emerging artists while expanding his own sonic vocabulary.
With a career defined not by eras but by curiosity, MJ Cole remains a forward-looking
artist, equally at home reimagining club culture, collaborating with the next wave, or
